Responsibilities

The Chief Nursing Executive Officer/Chief Operating Officer directs the hospital’s nursing practice and oversees hospital operations to ensure that activities and operations are appropriately integrated with the strategic plan. Develops and deploys nursing policies, objectives, and initiatives for the hospital and ensures compliance with established standards. Ensures the provision of quality care and services through the cost effective management of the facilities. Participates in the development of hospital-wide patient care programs, policies, and procedures that describe how the care needs of patient populations are assessed, evaluated and met. Implements effective and ongoing programs to measure, assess, and improve the quality of care/services provided to patients/customers.

Implements nursing and operational improvements using appropriate data and benchmarking in conjunction with effective use of process improvement techniques. Develops and deploys nursing practices, objectives, and initiatives for the hospital and reviews operations to ensure compliance with established standards. Drives the delivery of quality and cost-effective patient care and oversees the performance of nursing staff. Participates in the development of hospital-wide patient care programs, policies and procedures that describe how the care needs of patient populations are assessed, evaluated and met. Ensures that activities and/or operations are appropriately integrated with the strategic plan while also ensuring the provision of quality care and services through the cost effective management of the facility.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of nursing experience and five (5) years of nurse leadership experience.

  • Progressively responsible administrative experience in major healthcare institutions, preferably in an acute caresetting.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA).

Licensure:

  • Registered Nursing License (RN) in state of practice.

Pay Range

$84.61 - $118.46 /hour
