Responsibilities

Job Summary:

  • As a Pharmacy Tech, you'll work under the supervision of a Pharmacist and you'll perform a variety of duties to support the daily workflow of the pharmacy. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Distributing medications in compliance with state and federal laws and internal policies and procedures

  • Preparing and dispensing prescribed medications for patientsCompounding of medications

  • Assisting in managing inventory

  • Charging and crediting functions for medications associated with drug distribution processes

  • Maintaining a clean and safe environment by using aseptic technique, careful handling of controlled substances, completing continuing education assignments

  • Participating in department quality assurance programsAdministrative and clerical duties

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements:

Graduation from an accredited Pharmacy Technician training program

One year of hospital work experience or hospital rotation within an accredited training program is preferred

Licensure/Certification:

  • License as a Pharmacy Technician by the Washington State Board of Pharmacy.

  • Washington State Driver’s license required only for those staff with an “off site refill” assignment

  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.

Pay Range

$24.15 - $36.48 /hour
