Responsibilities

About This Position

In keeping with the Marian Medical Center health care philosophy the Registered Nurse delivers quality patient care for those patients requiring cardiac, pulmonary or Bariatric rehabilitative services through the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Under the direction of the Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Supervisor, the therapist assesses the needs of each patient, creates an individualized treatment program in conjunction with the referring physician, implements the program and evaluates the progress on an ongoing basis, every 30 days. Demonstrates ability to use EMR and the Versacare telemetry system proficiently and Cardiopulmonary rehabilitation is limited to adults (over the age of 18). Major responsibilities are listed, however, at times the therapist may be assigned other duties.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current and valid California Registered Nursing license.

  • Minimum of two (2) years recent experience working in a Coronary Care Unit, Cardiac Step-down Unit or Telemetry Unit, or successful passing score on the Cardiac

  • Dysrhythmia exam.

  • Current certification in basic life support (BLS)

  • Current Advanced cardiac life support (ACLS).

  • Experience in teaching 1:1 and groups.

  • Must frequently use and be knowledgeable in various rehabilitative equipment including various pieces of exercise equipment.

  • Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Pay Range

$46.79 - $69.82 /hour
