Groundbreaking cardiac procedures at Dominican include the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure which allows for heart valve replacement without opening a patient’s chest.Dominican Hospital has forged significant partnerships with area hospitals to bring exceptional care to Santa Cruz County. The hospital offers a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) through a partnership with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Neurosurgery at Dominican is also offered through a partnership with Stanford Health Care.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Radiologic Technologist I under the general direction of a radiologist and Radiology Administration is responsible for performing a variety of radiographic fluoroscopic emergency and specialized procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Provides Radiology services to all ages.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Current and valid CRT Permit (California) required.

  • Current and valid Fluoroscopy Permit (California) required.

  • Current and valid American Heart Association BLS CPR certification required.

  • Current and valid American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) (R) required.

  • Understanding of sterile techniques.

  • Ability to follow protocols. Ability to develop successful relationships with patients and physicians. Can identify areas of concern and take accurate images. Ability to discern emergent situations.

  • This position requires skills in Diagnostic Radiology Surgery (c-arm) and Fluoroscopy procedures. Must meet all Radiologic Technology I competencies

Preferred:

  • AS in Radiologic Sciences preferred.

  • One (1) to two (2) years’ experience as a radiologic technologist preferred.

  • ARRT credentials in any of the following (CT) (N) (T) (MR) (S) (M) (QM) (BD) (CV) (CI) (VI) (VS) (BS) preferred.

Pay Range

$55.2306 - $64.03 /hour
