Responsibilities
As an Director in the Surgical Pediatrics Unit you are responsible for leading patient care services and maintaining accountability for the overall administration and management of inpatient surgical/pediatric services in providing efficient, high quality, patient focused care.
Essential Duties:
Responsible for the strategic vision and administrative oversight of operations and patient care in the unit.
Provides leadership for strategic planning, clinical excellence, personnel management, fiscal accountability, systems/quality improvement and strategic direction for the unit.
Develops and implements long term goals relating to unit goals, patient care improvement and staff growth and development.
Assesses staffing needs for the unit and coordinates those needs with the staffing office to provide shift coverage as necessary. Evaluates workload and adjusts staffing to meet shift needs.
Plans and maintains department budgets to control costs.
Implements and evaluates a comprehensive customer service plan.
Qualifications
License/Certification:
Current RN license issued by the State of Oregon
American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days of hire
Experience:
2 years experience as a clinical nurse in an area related to the unit
2 years progressive management experience in acute care
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing required. A candidate who is working towrds a BSN with an expected completion within 3 years will also be considered.
Pay Range
$51.41 - $74.55 /hour
