Dignity Health Physical Therapy Assistant in Prescott, Arizona

As our Physical Therapy Assistant at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center, your primary role will be to assist patients in need of Lymphedema treatment in their recovery and mobility. In this position, you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, aid patients with exercises, monitor their progress, and document their outcomes. Providing compassionate care, excellent customer service, and maintaining a safe and clean environment are essential expectations for this role. Successful candidates will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience with electronic medical records, knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. We are seeking a Certified Lymphedema Specialist (CLT) with LANA (Lymphedema Association of North America) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Work with physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and others to evaluate new patients and recommend a plan of care.

  • Perform re-evaluation assessments to update progress, status changes, etc.

  • Document all evaluations, treatments, and any changes to the treatment plan

  • Seek help when needed; provide support when others request it - this can include assistance with tasks, advice, mentoring, or help to obtain additional specialty certifications if you’re interested.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Graduate of an accredited therapy program.

  • Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Arizona.

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred:

  • One year of acute care experience as a PTA.

Pay Range

$39.5352 - $39.5352 /hour
