As our Physical Therapy Assistant at Dignity Health Yavapai Regional Medical Center, you will help patients in need of physical therapy so they can recover and regain their mobility.

Every day, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to implement treatment plans, assist patients with exercises, monitor their progress, and document their outcomes.

You will be expected to provide compassionate care, excellent customer service, and maintain a safe and clean environment. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience with electronic medical records, knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are also highly valued

Responsibilities

  • Under the supervision of the Physical Therapist the Physical Therapy Assistant implements and follows the plan of care while providing patient care.

  • Consults with other health care disciplines to coordinate therapeutic programs and assist with discharge planning for individual patients.

  • Instructs patients and caregivers in home program exercises and functional activities.

  • Assists with patient program management while delivering quality patient services.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Graduate of an accredited therapy program.

  • Licensed to practice as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the State of Arizona.

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).

Preferred:

  • One year of acute care experience as a PTA.

Pay Range

$39.5352 - $39.5352 /hour
