Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 subspecialty services. Responsibilities
SUMMARY - Provides diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under supervision and responsibility of a Physician. Surgical assistant to Orthopedic Surgeon.
DHMG is seeking an Orthopedic Trauma Surgery PA to join us at Phoenix Saint Joseph’s Hospital and the DHMG Orthopedic clinic in Phoenix, Arizona. The position, which includes employment through DHMG, will assist the attending surgeons in orthopedics to deliver quality patient care services at SJHMC a not-for-profit hospital and state designated Level 1 Adult Trauma Center.
Join our Orthopedic Trauma Practice with multiple fellowship trained Orthopedic Surgeons and a robust team of Physician Assistants.
Responsibilities:
• Assist attending surgeons in the operating room.
• Inpatient care / rounding on patients
• Outpatient post-op clinical coverage
• Participate in orthopedic trauma call; First-Call shifts 4-5 shifts per month.
• Prior orthopedic experience desirable
• 1+ year experience as surgical 1st assist preferred but open to new graduates

weekend and holiday call/OR coverage.

Qualifications
MINIMUM
Minimum 3 years clinical experience in related area
Background in pre-med
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
Degree as a Physician Assistant
Must hold and maintain:
(1) AZ Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants License,
(2) NCCPA - National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistant
(3) Valid DEA registration
Pay Range
$54.12 - $78.47 /hour
