Responsibilities

As a Maintenance Technician at our hospital, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of the hospital's physical infrastructure and equipment. Your duties will include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, and completing timely repairs to minimize disruptions to hospital services. You will collaborate with other departments to support their maintenance needs, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities. Your role is crucial in creating a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

  • Assists appropriate personnel in responding to failures in sanitary and plumbing systems

  • Utilizes knowledge of medical gasses plumbing and sanitary systems to help resolve issues and safely isolate repair and restore normal conditions.

  • Assists the trades in responding to failures in building electrical distribution and special systems throughout the facility. Identify distribution of electrical systems and safely isolate repair re-energize electrical systems.

  • Assists the trades to respond to failures in the HVAC systems or the refrigeration equipment. Understands building HVAC systems and refrigeration equipment and makes proper adjustments to support customer needs.

  • Safely accomplishes minor changes to the building components such as wall casework or ceiling structures. While understanding the building infrastructure of the facility and performs small scale short duration wall component repair.

  • Performs assigned tasks with high quality workmanship by performing preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.Completes assigned tasks and communicates properly utilizing verbal and written skills

** This position is required to work at least 1 weekend every month

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Two years experience in one of the following: plumbing electrical refrigeration painting or signage.

Preferred:

  • Building Maintenance certification

  • Healthcare experience

Pay Range

$18.00 - $24.66 /hour
