Responsibilities

As a Telemetry Nurse at SJHMC you'll play a crucial role in our patient care team. Your expertise will be instrumental in caring for patients admitted to our unit many of whom are funneled in from other units. This unique patient mix provides an excellent opportunity to build on your education and experience in specialized service lines such as cardiac telemetry orthopedics neurology critical care surgical services and emergency.

Tower 7 at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a 24 bed Cardiovascular Telemetry Unit. Our staff are trained in providing specialized care to patient populations including Post Acute Cardiac Surgery Post STEMI/NSTEMI Minor Vascular Surgery and Advanced Heart Failure patients with or without LVAD therapy. Patient safety is always at the forefront of our care as evidenced by our quality metrics and our consistently high patient experience scores. Responsibilities:

  • Track routine heart rate blood pressure and pulse ox levels

  • Quickly report and address any changes in condition

  • Patiently and thoroughly explain tests results and procedures to patients and family members

  • Educate patients on post-hospital care including prescribed medicine care maintenance and prevention

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • AZ RN license or RN License from a Compact State

  • American Heart Association BLS certification

  • American Heart Association ACLS certification (in monitored areas)

Preferred:

  • BSN

  • One year recent acute care experience

  • Professional certification in area of specialty

Pay Range

$32.50 - $58.90 /hour
