Responsibilities
In keeping with the Dignity Health core values under the direct supervision of a Registered Pharmacist the Pharmacy Tech I is responsible for the preparation (excluding I.V. admixtures) and distribution of all medication orders according to hospital policies standard practices of the profession and State and Federal laws and regulations.
This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
High School graduate
Registration with State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Tech
Basic knowledge of computers required.
Preferred:
- One (1) year pharmacy experience preferred.
Special Skills:
Must have the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing using the English language strong attention to detail be able to follow both oral and written directions.
Must have the ability to be precise in filling medication orders and maintaining records and work tactfully and effectively with team members the patient family and the public.
Pay Range
$30.60 - $38.25 /hour
