Responsibilities

SPEECH PATHOLOGIST (SLP) – SPEECH LANGUAGE PATHOLOGY

Northridge Hospital Medical Center, a Dignity Health member

The Center for Rehabilitation Medicine offers an opportunity for a dynamic, team oriented Speech Therapist. Our 36-bed CARF accredited Rehabilitation Unity has been providing care for over 30 years. Specialty programs include stroke and spinal cord injury. Both swallowing and cognitive evaluation/ treatment are performed.

The Speech Pathologist will evaluate patients of varying diagnoses and disorders requiring ST. Will develop, implement and modify treatment plans for patients ranging in age from adolescent to geriatric. Main area of assignment will be acute rehabilitation. Department offers a multi-level career ladder with strong education and mentoring programs.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Current CA SLP license. Recent, board eligible, graduates will be considered for provisional appointments.

  • CFY candidates must apply at conclusion of CFY (required for student supervision).

  • Current CPRBLS and Fire Safety cards.

Therapists will apply and obtain CCS paneling once one year equivalent of pediatric experience is obtained. Experienced therapists with 1 year equivalent of pediatric experience will apply/obtain CCS paneling within six months of hire.
