Catholic Health Initiatives Manager Imaging Services in Lexington, Kentucky

Overview

Saint Joseph East is a 217-bed full-service community hospital located in the rapidly growing southeastern section of Lexington Kentucky. We provide care for patients in Fayette and surrounding counties. At Saint Joseph East ambulatory surgery 24-hour emergency care and women’s health services are supported through a vast array of inpatient and outpatient program. Additional specialty services include Heart Care Breast Care Sleep Care and Weight Loss Surgery. Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY / PURPOSE

Responsible for the administrative operation of assigned areas including;

  1. management of technical and clerical personnel,

  2. assurance of work quality,

  3. achievement of budgetary goals,

  4. maintenance of continuous quality performance improvement activity, and

  5. maintenance of personnel competency through continuing education and annual competency

testing

ESSENTIAL KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supervises technical and clerical staff of the Medical Imaging section(s) to ensure, timely, quality work.

  2. Responsible for the management of workflow in all clinical sections and clerical areas to ensure the completion of work assignments.

  3. Responsible for the implementation and support of continuous quality performance activities for the assigned Imaging sections.

  4. Responsible for the training and orientation of staff and students in the Medical Imaging Department.

  5. Participates in the fiscal and budgetary management of the Medical Imaging Department.

  6. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served.

  7. Displays knowledge and complies with the National Patient Safety goals.

  8. Supports and reports any identified compliance matters.

  9. Maintains professional development and education for technical competency.

  10. Maintains regulatory compliance and licensure for current position.

  11. Attends all Saint Joseph Health required educational programs as well as all online learning modules.

  12. Contributes to the efficient operation and monitoring of the department and utilizes our resources efficiently.

  13. Demonstrates complete working knowledge of equipment within the assigned area.

  14. Knowledge and performance of the Code of Conduct Standards.

  15. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Required Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 3 years leadership experience OR minimum of 5 years leadership experience in the discipline OR Master’s Degree and no experience

Required Licensure and Certifications

  • MRAD:KY

  • RTR OR NMTB OR ARDMS

  • BLS-CPR within 5 days

  • Ensures quality care by being attentive to detail, addresses potential safety concerns and follows our Error Prevention

  • Techniques as outlined by CHI Saint Joseph Health.

  • Maintains patient confidentiality. Demonstrates integrity by being open and honest in all communication.

Pay Range

$33.52 - $48.60 /hour
