The Cardiovascular Laboratory provides optimum care for inpatient and outpatients presenting with cardiovascular dysfunction and peripheral vascular disease. Included in this care are the pre-procedure preparation, the procedure and the post-procedure stabilization of the patient in the most safe and cost-effective manner. Diagnostic procedures and low-risk interventional procedures are offered at the Rose de Lima campus. Diagnostic and interventional procedures are offered at the Siena and San Martin Campus. Electrophysiological studies are also offered at San Martin.

Responsibilities

Provides leadership, direction and clinical and operational supervision of patient care for the Cardiovascular patient population, including Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Electrophysiology, Cardiovascular Surgery, and Cardiac Rehabilitation along with assigned staff. Demonstrates responsibility for quality and care management improvement initiatives; strategic oversite; cardiac service data collection and reporting; and implementation and maintenance of laboratory standards. Acts as the leader and role model for professional practice conducted in the CV service line and demonstrates responsibility for standards development and staff education.

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in related field. Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.

  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and/or additional job related experience in lieu of the degree.

  • Current R.N. or RT or CVIS Certificate/License required; ACLS and BLS required.
