Catholic Health Initiatives Cardiovascular Technologist II in Hot Springs, Arkansas

Overview

As our CardiovascularTechnologist at CHI St Vincent Hot Springs, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting.

Every day you’ll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilize good radiation safety practices and you will make a positive impact on internal and external customers.

To be successful in this role, you’ll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis.

Responsibilities

  • Thorough and accurate imaging technique for patient positioning respective to the imaging order

  • Routinely apply sterile techniques and quality safety practices for patients, teammates, and yourself.

  • Mechanical aptitude and confidence troubleshooting, calibrating, and maintaining radiology equipment to avoid equipment failures.

Qualifications

  • Graduate from an approved CVT Program required

  • Current Radiology License (ARRT) required

  • Current Arkansas State License (MRAD:AR)

  • Current American Heart Association ACLS and BLS certifications

  • Two (2) years of current experience as a CRT with hands-on scrub experience within a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory

  • Experience as cardiovascular monitoring technologist to include but not limited to A-Line and IV insertion and all modalities within the Cath Lab

Pay Range

$32.72 - $47.45 /hour
