As the Environmental Services Supervisor, your primary responsibility is to ensure a clean and safe environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. You will be responsible for providing day-to-day supervision to the Environmental Services Department under the guidance of the Manager/Director. Your role will be to lead by example and demonstrate top-notch environmental service skills, as well as courteous and professional behavior towards patients, physicians, visitors, volunteers, and other employees.

  • Demonstrates working knowledge of the cleaning and disinfection principles and requirements, proper chemical, equipment usage, and labor requirements for maintenance of furniture, furnishings, interior finishes for all areas of responsibility.

  • Provides oversight of inventories, usage data, and ordering of consumable supplies and equipment repairs

  • Prepares work and time schedules, under the direction of the

  • Manager/Director, coordinating vacation and holiday time and reviewing daily adjustments in the work schedule.

  • Promotes and supervises a culture of safety, hand hygiene, patient experience, as well as employee engagement and retention.

  • Remain patient, kind and personable in all interactions with patients, visitors and staff.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required

  • 3 Years in Environmental Services

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • One (1) year supervisory experience and Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional (CHESP) certification preferred.

Pay Range

$17.89 - $24.60 /hour
