Catholic Health Initiatives Gastroenterologist in Chattanooga, Tennessee
Overview
Memorial Health Partners is seeking multiple Gastroenterologists with expertise across the full spectrum of gastrointestinal disease treatment for the patients that turn to CHI Memorial Chattanooga for their care. This opportunity is well-suited for physicians passionate about providing comprehensive inpatient services in a unique practice model.
Candidates with Interventional or Advanced procedure training are welcomed but not required. As an integrated health system, candidates will enjoy a highly collaborative environment with the ability to network with many complimentary specialties. Beyond the local market’s vast resources, candidates will also have the ability to work with like minded colleagues through the connections of CommonSpirit Health – The Nations’ largest faith based, non-profit healthcare system.
This GI Opportunity Offers:
Average of two weeks per month; with an alternating Monday through Friday week on / week off schedule
Scheduled Monday through Friday; 8:00am - 5:00pm, alternating weeks
Take new IP consults, IP rounding on GI service, perform IP endoscopy
Dedicated scoping schedule
Primary location will be CHI Memorial Hospital, Chattanooga, TN
24 hour call during week days only
As a newly launching service model, candidates will have a colleague that will be their off week partner
Experience in Interventional and Advanced Endoscopy (ERCP and EUS) welcome but not required
Opportunity to contribute to the Gastroenterology service line

Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans.
Conduct thorough medical examinations and histories.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Provide clear and concise medical information.
Foster a collaborative and patient-centered approach to healthcare.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Document medical findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
Ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
Diagnostic Procedures:
Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging.
Perform procedures as needed
Collaborate with specialists for further diagnostic evaluation.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals.
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
Provide consultative services to other healthcare providers.
Quality Improvement:
Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
Review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement.
Implement changes to enhance patient care and safety.
Compliance:
Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice.
Stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
Participate in quality audits to ensure adherence to standards.
Continuous Learning:
Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices.
Participate in ongoing medical education and training.
Contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines.
Qualifications
American Board Certified or Board Eligible in Specified Area of Medical Specialty
A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible
Pay Range
$201.79 - $258.86 /hour
