Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY

This job is responsible for performing special interventional diagnostic and therapeutic examinations of the heart and blood vessels under the direction of a licensed physician using radiologic imaging for guiding the procedure.

Work includes but is not limited to

  • Reviewing and/or recording pertinent patient history and supporting clinical data;

  • Preparing patients for testing

  • Using C-arms, fluoroscopy, and tomography to perform exams and procedures and obtain a record of data for interpretation by provider;

  • Participating in cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures.

Incumbents are also accountable for; keeping abreast of CHI Franciscan standards, protocols and procedures relating to the department; keeping skills current; demonstrating evidence of continuing education to include department meetings, individualized learning opportunities.

Cardiovascular Tech Non-Registered is a temporary classification for employees who have graduated from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology but for whom Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is pending at the time of hire. Employees have six months from the date of hire to obtain the requisite registration.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Prepares equipment/room to capture appropriate image, per physicians’ direction and in adherence to department protocols.

  • Delivers patient care for all age groups while performing exams/procedures.

  • Maintains records and logs as required by department protocols and licensure requirements.

  • Performs incidental general office duties to include, but not limited to:

  • Answer phones; inventory management.

  • Inventory/stocking of equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, and one year of recent related work experience which may be obtained through practical education/training; OR

  • Graduation from an accredited school of Cardiovascular Technology.

Licensure/Certification

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist 1 (RCIS), with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) and license to practice in the state of Washington, OR

  • American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT), and State of Washington Certification.

  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification.

  • ACLS certification required.

  • Cardiovascular Technologist Cert: Must possess Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).

Pay Range

$43.94 - $62.74 /hour
