Responsibilities

CHI Urgent Care clinics are looking for Full Time Radiology Techs to join the team!

The Rad Tech performs radiographic procedures at a technical level. This individual will be responsible for operating radiology equipment to make clinical diagnostic imaging films as directed by physicians and performs routine diagnostic procedures. Assumes the responsibilities and the performance of acts within the educational background of the Limited Scope of Practice in Radiology.

What You'll Do:

  1. Behaves in a professional and empathetic manner to build trust, comfort, understanding, and relationships with patients and the secondary guest(s) and in-line with Studer Principles.

  2. Measures and collects patient data including temperature, pulse, oxygen saturation, respirations, blood pressure, height, weight, and, in indicated pediatric patients, length and head circumference. Conducts hearing and vision screenings. Communicates the data and results to the patient.

  3. Documents all data accurately into the patient medical record.

  4. Collects and documents in the patient medical record patient reason for visit and chief complaint, allergies, health history, and current medications for review by provider.

  5. Completes, when appropriate, standard operating procedures (convenience and clinical) to optimize patient comfort and through-put.

  6. Prepares patients for radiologic procedures. Performs x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety.

  7. Documents radiology procedures performed on the order/encounter form. The incumbent signs the order/encounter form, indicating that all orders have been performed and marked. Logs radiologic procedures completed. Processes routine paper work. Types and files reports as requested. Ensures images are transferred to radiology group.

  8. Prepares patients for examinations and procedures. Assists provider with patient care. At the direction and delegation of the provider, performs approved lab tests and diagnostic testing.

  9. Organizes, schedules, completes, and communicates primary care, specialist, and ancillary referrals to patients.

  10. Maintain patient care supplies and medications, and quality checks and assurances throughout the facility.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology.

  • Basic Life Support Certification (CPR- Healthcare Provider) within 480 hours of employment and meets re-certification as required.

  • Registered Technologist (or registry eligible graduate) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Must achieve registration within six months of graduation or hire date.

  • Licensed by the NDMIRT Board to practice Radiography in North Dakota

Pay Range

$25.08 - $34.48 /hour
